    Hello,
my children lives in michigan state and illinois state. I wish to know if they apply for green card for both of us (me and spouse) now how much time does it take to uscis to issue green card. We are right now 73 yrs and 64 yrs respectively. Further i wish to know whether the insurance benefit avaialble under obamacare for green card holders or do we have to purchase for the required period on our own. Does the green card holders be treated in ER s in usa? kindly adivse

Are you in the U.S. now, or are your children going to petition you while you are outside the U.S.?

If in the U.S., your Green Card processing will take about six months.

If being processed abroad for visas, it will take between 9 and 12 months.
