A US citizen friend wants to sponsor his biological mother (Canadian Citizen). My friend is originally from India but immigrated to Canada when a family member adopted him. Later he got married to a H1B holder in the USA. Both spouses acquired a US Green card as they filed an employment based 485 after they got married.
Now, he has been a US citizen for many year and would like to sponsor his natural mother. Are there any potential issues with this and should one go through a lawyer? Or would this be easy enough to do it?
