Any Tax/Economical implications for Greencard for Parents of US citizen Son

Parents have some property, income in foreign country, so trying to get inputs if anyone has researched on any economical, insurance related implications of filing parents GC.

from few friends, i heard that Medical, medicaid may be significant expense since they wouldn't have any income or job to support last 5-10 years.
