Accompany father to the IR-5 interview

Hi,
My father has the interview scheduled for next Tuesday at New Delhi, India. Few questions:

1. Will they let me in the consulate to accompany him for the interview?
2. We have provided 'not-found' certificate for date of birth. My father does not have any elder siblings or parents living to be able to provide the affidavits for the date of birth. What should we do?
3. My father went for medical exam last week at Max Mohali. Does he have to pickup the medical results package from the hospital and take it to the interview or the hospital will send it to consulate directly?

Just in case it helps someone else:

1. They allow the petitioner to accompany the applicant. I was allowed.
2.Turned out my father had an elder sister. We took the affidavit from her. The did ask for the affidavit.
3. We had to pick up the medical results and take it along with us for the interview.
