  • Paperwork sent to Chicago Lockbox - How long until I get a receipt notice?

Our application (concurrently filed I-485 and I-130) arrived via USPS priority mail at the Chicago Lockbox address on March 21st. Haven't got any messages/texts indicating receipt yet. How long does this typically take? Also does this application eventually get sent to our local office (Cleveland, Ohio)? Thanks for the help!

Expect at least two weeks before you get a text/email notice of receipt (if you included G-1145 form).

The hardcopy NOA's may take 3-5 weeks, with the Biometrics appointment notice about a week after that.

Thanks so much for the response, I really appreciate it! Do you know what the current average wait time of this entire process is (from getting receipt notice to interview)? I looked up my local field office (Cleveland, OH) and the table lists August 7th 2014 as the last time an AOS was completed. It seems like the wait times might be longer than usual now? We filed a marriage based application for green card with forms i-485, i-130, I-864 i-765, i-131 along with required supporting documents and G-1145 forms.

Average reported timeframe, fro submittal to interview, is 5-8 months, longer in some areas, and longer if you get notice that the interview will be waived.
