  • Filing for brother

    Hi
I am a US citizen and want to file for my brother who lives in India with his family. My question is do I need to file the affidavit of support right now or later when the form 130 is approved. I have done research but its not clear to me whether it will be filed later or now. Also do i need to send in tax returns?
right now I have following documents. Are these enough or I need anything else.

form i-130 filled and signed by me
    copy of my citizenship certificate
    copy of my birth certificate
    copy of brother's birth certificate
copy of marriage certificate of our parents

    Thanks
Your reply will be of great help

Your sponsorship documents won't be needed until your brother's visa quota slot is available, in about 12 years.

None of the immigration-required documents need to be notarized, except for translations.
