Help with I-130 for spouse
Hi, first I would like to thank you all in advance for any information you can offer.
A little bit of background: I am a 22 year old US/Costa Rica citizen. I lived in the states my entire life, but 2 years ago decided to move to Costa Rica to finish studying, where I met my now amazing Costa Rican husband. We just got married in December and are now trying to figure out how to apply for his residency so we can move back to the states.
I don't really know where to start or what we are supposed to do; to be honest it is all pretty intimidating.
So far, I have figured out that we have to start off by applying for the I-130.
So here comes my question, what do you suggest is the best way to go? Applying for several applications at a time or just sending in the I-130, G 325 and G 325A and then waiting for response?
What exactly goes into the I-130 application…I mean do I just send in the forms, certificates, and passport sized photos, or should we include the cover letter and proof of our relationship?
What else will we have to apply for?
Do you suggest just getting an attorney?
I guess what Im trying to say is just tell me everything I need to know
