I have a question, My parents and I have applied for Green Card in 2008 via F3 category (while I was 14 years old), when I was asking about the progress from my parents, and I check the case status today, I realized that the case has been approved in 2010 and we also have received the letter but we misunderstood the instructions and we thought we had to wait for further notice. Our agent who is my uncle, has not received any letter. I do not know if their I-130 approval has been expired or not, and I do not know how to proceed with this issue. Can you please advise me what we need to do? Thank You!

Most likely the petition was approved, but the priority date is not yet current. Either way, you should check with the National Visa Center to see if a State Department case number has been assigned and to update any information so that the case won't expire for inactivity (contact once a year). Be prepared to provide USCIS receipt number, names and birthdates of petitioner and beneficiaries.
