Hi,
My situation is little different. Myself & my wife obtained the Greencard in 2003 and later we moved out of USA in 2007. I have returned my Greencard in the local embassy in 2010 and obtained a 10 year multiple entry B1/B2 Visa. My wife continued with her Greencard and obtained the US Citizenship in 2010 and moved back to India to stay with me. Now we are planning to move back to USA. My spouse would like to apply the Green Card for me. Since I have already obtained the green Card once and re-applying through my spouse, please help me with the following questions.
1. Is it better to apply the Greencard while we are here in India or is it better to apply if I come back to USA on my Visitor Visa?
2. How long does this process take to obtain the Greencard?
3. While we file the I-130 & I-485 together, can I travel to and outside India based on the situation in point-1?
4. Is it better to apply through an attorney or I can apply on my own?
