On behalf of my uncle who is 71 years old and a retired US citizen. He wants to get married to a widow lady who is 60 years old. He is worried that how he will be able file affidavit of support because he has no income. I am going through this process so he asked me get an answer of this if I can help.

If anybody knows how deal with this situation so please help. Further please share if anyone experienced problems to bring spouse in this age problems.

Your uncle can get a Joint Sponsor, to file the Affidavit of Support. You uncle, as the Sponsor, needs to also fill out an I-864.

Is it possible to get a joint sponsor from another state in the US. If he is in Illinois and get a joint sponsor from California..?

One more thing I want to ask what is the minimum salary required to sponsor alone?
