I was wondering if anyone knew how long would it take approximately if my Dad files an I-130 today for it to get approved and eventually get an interview at the US Embassy. I'm from Argentina, over 21 and unmarried.
The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm considering applying for a J-1 Visa but if the I-130 form takes, say, a year, I would rather wait than applying for another visa.
Also, is it possible to apply for the I-130 and to a J-1 Visa at the same time ?
