  • Bisexual and sponsoring second (+different sex) spouse for green card? Help please!

Six years ago I sponsored my female spouse for residency in the United States and her application for a green card, both the temporary and permanent, were approved oddly quickly after having gotten married in the US during an extended trip together. The marriage was completely genuine and our application for her residency was submitted in good-faith.

That said, things didn't work out between us and we divorced 2.5 years ago.

I am bisexual and since then, I have fallen in love with a foreign man and we are *considering* moving from his country where we are currently residing and having a life in the USA. Thanks to the Supreme Court decision, that is now a possibility for us.

    1) If we decide we want to live in the US on a permanent basis is it going to be a problem that I'll be sponsoring foreigner #2 for residency?
    2) Is it going to be an issue that the person I would be sponsoring would be of a different gender? I assume this would raise some questions and USCIS would scrutinize our application intensely but ultimately the question is whether or not that would somehow create a risk that our application would be denied and that he could be deported.

It is to be added that my ex-wife and I separated under good terms, knew that I am bisexual, is aware of the relationship, and now as a permanent resident is prepared to declare under penalty of perjury that my relationship with this man is genuine.

Anyway, any help/advice regarding my situation from you all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
