  • About Visitor visa to greencard for permanant residence

    is there any form 9 for usa? where i have to apply for visitor visa and after that my mom can file for me for permanant residence, so i can get green card in 6 months. my mom is citizen in us and also we have f4 file, in 2005.

    You will not be getting a visitors visa without being able to show very strong ties to your home country.

    "I want a visitors visa" and "I want a green card" don't belong in the same conversation.

    Sorry, but you only have 2 or 3 years left to wait for your PD.

      Thanks for your reply, can you tell me what is form 9 ? and actually my Bachelor degree completed in india and i want to go USA for my masters, so is there any chances to get student visa ? as well as i heard that there is less files in 2004-2005 ? am i right ?

      so can you recommend me what should i do now ? my pd is march 2005 and age is 21 [unmarried].

          Sorry, I don't know what Form 9 is.

          Student visas are given to those who can afford their studies, and who are likely to return home after their studies are over.

          You will have a hard time persuading the consular officer that you will go home afterwards.

          You are welcome to try applying, but if you don't get it, just wait for your immigrant visa to become available.
