  • Need help with1-864 Joint Sponsor!

My daughter is a USA citizen by birth. She's a student and sponsoring me now. I'm single and the only intended immigrant. Since my daughter does not earn at the moment, another permanent resident family member is sponsoring as a joint sponsor.
They need I-864 to be filled again because it was incomplete.
I need help with part 6.
My relative earns enough to sponsor me on his own. His wife also earns. They file their tax returns together.
Does he need to mention her in the form and her earnings in the household
    income?
Please help this form is very confusing.
    Thanks in advance.

Your relative must complete form I-864 and include his wife and her income in the I-864.
His wife must complete I-864A, and both husband and wife sign I-864A.
Both must provide proof of their U.S. status, copy of Green Card for each.
Their 2014 Federal income tax return, W2 and/or 1099 forms, and employment verification letters or a few recent pay stubs should be included.

      thank you

Thank you very much for the reply.
I read on the NVC instructions web page that if the sponsor's individual income is sufficient to meet the poverty line he does not need to mention his other earning family members.
      Any comment on this?

You posted earlier that the petitioner/sponsor does not have any income, so has this now changed?
