  • Moving back to USA with Spouse and 2 daughters.

Hello! My name is Carolina and I’m a US Citizen living in Argentina since I was 2 months old. I am now looking to move back to the US with my husband and my 2 little daughters. Since I never lived in the US I cannot transmit citizenship to my girls so I will follow the process to present a I130 form for them and for my husband.

I already have all the documents needed including all the translations the only doubt I have now is how to complete the question 18 of the form since we don’t have an address in the US.

Can you guide me on how to do the things right?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you made arrangements for a place in the United States that you intend to live?

Most people in your situation make arrangements with relatives or friends to "crash" while they get on their feet and find employment, lease an apartment, etc.

Thanks Inadmissible for your prompt answer, actually we don't have friends or close family living there. Our plan is to find some place to live once we get our petition accepted. I'll explain a little more our situation.

My husband has his own company (actually he has a partner) here in Argentina. We would like to move to the US but he will still have his income from this company and the plan is to find somewhere to live after the petition is accepted but before the visa is approved. We'll be staying in a hotel while we search.

Once the visa is approved and we are living in the US the idea is to create an LLC to offer in the US the same services he offers here (Of course he first needs a SSN or an ITIN to do this) in the meantime we plan on living with his income and our savings.

I know is a little difficult to move back when we have no ties to the US thats why I already register as a voter in Florida 2 years ago, we also have our bank accounts there and I have all my tax declarations filled.

      What do you think?

It doesn't make sense to lease an apartment or home without knowing the actual timeline of when you will get your visas and be able to actually bring your family to the United States. That said, you need to put some address on the form. This is the fact pattern that Ray B discussed, that I didn't really believe happens in practice - hence my cheeky comments in http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showth...riends-address Clearly I was wrong, this does in fact happen.

I don't know what you can do, you need to find someone who will let you use their address, and you should actually intent to live with them when you first arrive.

As for the LLC, you do not need a tax ID to organize, manage, or be a member of a Florida LLC. The form does not ask for anyones tax IDs. It does require a Florida registered agent though, a person resident there who will accept service of process
