Hello All, this is a brief summary of my case so far.
Applicant - Wife(Indian) currently on F1 in USA which will expire next year
Petitioner(Me) - Green Card Holder
Our petition for greencard was approved last year with
Priority date of 21st Feb 2014
DS-261 Submitted: 07 APRIL 2014
Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Paid: 04 APRIL 2015
Affidavit of Support Fee Paid: 10 APRIL 2015
DS-260 + I864-EZ + financial Documents Submitted: 20 May 2015
Today we received notification informing that our documents were reviewed and they want us to resubmit I-864EZ due to 1 signature missing. This i am sending out today again, its a quick solution.
They also want us to provide Police clearance certificates for my wife ... since she is here i need to get it done from the closest embassy (houston) and they say it takes 6 weeks. So i think if i request it tomorrow its 6 weeks there and then another 45 days for NVC to review.
Based on progression of the priority dates ... i think 08 Novmber 2014 is latest movement. We should be at Feb hopefully in 3 months or so. Because it will take me 45 days + 6 weeks for the police clearance, will this delay in them giving us an interview date ? Or that happens regardless and we will just be asked to get the PCC during interview ?
Also does my wife get to interview in USA since she is here or does she have to go back to India for this interview ?
