Hi,
I am in the process of getting my mother her green card. I am a citizen, and have already paid my AOS Fee. I now need to send in Supporting Documents (Civil) and Supporting Financial Documents. I was married last August and changed my last name. I have filled out all my forms (I-864, Affadavit of Support, etc.) with my new, legal name. My birth certificate of course is my previous name, as well as my Passport.
Has anybody had any experience in this regard? Do you think a Marriage Certificate and new ID should be enough to prove my identity?
