Is the current income looked at to meet the poverty guidelines or is line 22 of 1040 looked at to meet income requiremtns? My 1040 shows a total income of $19,000 for a household size of 3 which is below but my year to day on my pay stubs shows $55,000. So my pay stubs show that I am currently making $100,000. But 2014 my taxes show a total income of $19,000. Am I ok if I send in my pay stubs?

Send an employment verification, a few recent pay stubs and a few recent bank statements in addition to your 2014 Federal income tax return, W2 and 1099 copies.
Your current income will be based on your pay stubs and employment verification letter.

You must also provide a copy of your 2014 Federal income tax return, W2 and/or 1099 forms, and proof of employment. Proof of employment can be met with a few pay stubs, but if on commission a copy of your agreement or contract would be helpful.
