Petitioner birth cert for IR5

Hi,

I just submitted IV Package and got checklist I'm missing petitoner birth cert. I'm US citizen and trying to get my parents green card. Petitioner birth certificate is my birth cert right? I didn't see that on NVC civil doc list. Just want to confirm. Thanks.

Petitioner birth cert is "sometimes" requested by the NVC to corroborate relationship information, especially for parents/children.

Petitioner birth certificate for IR5

In the Welcome pack from NVC, in the Document Cover Sheet, serial or order no 3 is Civil Documents. Under this, item no 7 is Petioner Documents. That is where your birth certificate fits in to establish the relationship. Your father's birth certificate will go under Birth Certificate in second item.
