Hi,

My 3 year old daughter will enter USA this weekend as lawful permanent resident and will automatically become a citizen under the new law. as I am a US citizen myself. My question is that, will I be able to apply for her US passport immediately upon arrival or will they ask me to prove she is actually residing in USA under my legal custody?

Yes, u can.

First you have to apply her SS#. Once you get it, then u can apply for her US passport immediately.
