Hi, I'm currently on H-1B good through Feb. 2007. My boyfriend and I are talking about getting married but here is the situation:
-We live in two different states and I will have to move, which means I will have to quit my job that currently sponsors my H1-B visa
-My boyfriend is an Army reservist and he will most likely be deployed in June or Junly of 2006
I will have to file I-130 and I-485 along with AP and EAD applications if we do get married. How long is it taking for I-130 approval? It looks like we will have to file everything in Chicago, not Nebraska, even though he lives in Indiana (which is in Nebraska Service Office). Also, how long does it take to hear from USCIS on I-485 interview? Since he will be sponsoring my GC application, he will be required to go to the interview with me.... but what if it doesn't happen until after his deployment?
I know every case is different but I'm trying to get as much information as possible before deciding on how and when to get married! We would rather be married before he is deployed if possible. Any help and/or advise will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
