  • G-325A, I-483, I-130 for my widowed mother

    1) I am sponsoring Green Card for my mother (concurrent filing of I-130 and I-485 as she is currently visiting the US).
I recently lost my father. Unlike I-485 and I-130, G-325A does not have a Marital Status question. So there is no place for me to indicate my mother's marital status on G-325A. So I am not sure if I need to include my father's details in any of the forms. Can you please let me know if I need to include my father's details in G-325A, I-485 and I-130?
    2) I am including my mother's G-325A along with her I-485 petition. But please let me know if I need to include my G-325A along with I-130 that I am filing for my mother? As per the instructions given for I-130, it does NOT appear that I need to file a G-325A for myself with I-130 when filing for a mother.

    Thanks!

Only if you are filling out a G-235A for yourself you would be required to put your father's information, even though he he is decreased. Above his age the word deceased could be written. But I see no harm in you filling out one, so they can look at family lineage, especially that of your deceased dad. More so, however, you listing your Mom as your mother. But that's up to you.

Unless, your father's information is asked for, there's no need to mention......
