Co-sponsor duration
If you are a co-sponsor for cousin (and husband), what is the duration of the obligation? They are financially secure and have purchased their own home. They do not work but he is a retired doctor and military man and has a great pension from his country (Belgium). They were sponsored in 2003 and my daughter co-sponsored them because her son (the main sponsor), at the time, was young and did not have adequate financial means. Now my daughter has since married, had a child, lost her job and has filed bankruptcy. Is she still under obligation after 12 years? And if so, can she remove herself?
