Hi everyone, well my father lives in Dallas, he moved there before I was born. He got married and got his citizenship almost 20 years ago.
He never helped us with anything, he never gave us child support either, and now I told him if he could help me get the citizenship through him but he says he can't because when he got married he didn't said he had any kids and says that a lawyer told him that if he tries to help us he would get charged for fraud. My question is if that is true, I asked in the consulate in my country and they told me that if I had proof that I am legally his daughter I could get the citizenship.
And I do have proof, in my birth certificate he appears as my father and well I have his same dna. If he refuses to help me, is there a way to make him help me?
Thanks in advance.
