Dual processing

Hi,
I have L-1 visa and employer has agreed to sponsor employment based green card. Currently I have family based green card application being processed which is taking lot of time. Can I start green card processing through employer while family based application is pending? Is it valid to initiate dual processing?

Yes, you can. There isn't a law against that.
