What happens after RFE was received?

I have 2 questions:

1.) I just received the notice that they got the additional documents I sent. So if they approve the evidences, will they send me a notice?

2.) For those who submitted a letter of employment, did the USCIS call your employer?

Normally, they do and give an update on the proceeding of your EAD.

Why would you be concerned if they would call the employer? No one knows what USCIS, will do or not do. I know they are thorough in all they do.

Just so I can give them a heads up. I'm just anxious with the entire proceds, that's all cause it's my first time dealing with an RFE submission.

Okay thanks. I am just concerned that they might be waiting for more documents, then end up denying my mom's applicatjon and I am left here thinking eveything's all well and good. I got the notice on Thurs that they have received it and will continue working on the case. SO maybe that is a good sign?
