IR5 Parent arrived, now what ?

I have my friends mother-in-law who just arrived from bangladesh with an IR5 stamp on her passport. I was wondering what the process is for getting her Green card. Is it automatic after 60 days in the mail ? or do i need to apply I-485 with $1070 in fees.
We went to get her SSN and they said it will arrive in 3 weeks and they took her fingerprints at Port of entry.
Please help.

You don't need to do anything but wait. She was cleared at the port of entry and her greencard should arrive within 30 days max.

It doesn't work that way anymore unless you have paid the $165 Green Card fee online. Go to:

http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis/uscis-immigrant-fee

The Green Card usually shows up about 30 days after the fee is paid.

This new procedure has been in place a couple of years already.
