  • I am so confused

Back in April of this year I submitted the I-130 form along with payment. I received my receipt back saying it was accepted 4/27/15. I filed the petition to have my husband, who is a Canadian Citizen to be able to come to the US and work. He does not want to become a US Citizen just get a green card so he can work. He Currently lives in Canada and I live in Arizona. To date I have heard NOTHING from USCIS. The web site that our paper work went to says they are currently working on I-130 forms from Feb of 2015.

The reason I am confused is while reading through these forums I keep seeing people talking about how they are able to live with their spouse and they are working in the US while waiting for processing? Did I file the wrong paperwork? Show we have done something different?

If he was in the US , you could have filed I 130 and some other forms to adjust his status.
When he's out of country what you did is right. Now after I 130 gets approved there will be more
paperwork and he will go to the US embassy in Canada to get her immigrant visa. This is consular processing.
