Citizenship and sponsoring parents

Folks:

I have a greencard and it is coming close to five years since I obtained it. I am aware that I can apply for citizenship within 90 days prior to the five years date.

I am planning to sponsor my parents for GC. My questions are:

1. How long is the processing time for the Citizenship? I fall under the Texas Processing center.
2. Is there an advantage to apply for my parents while I am GC holder and then continue the process after I obtain my citizenship. Is the priority date transferable?
3. What is the most efficient way of sponsoring parents?

2. You can't sponsor your parents until you get your citizenship.
