  • Question about next steps...

    Hello forum members...

I've been working to legalize my wife's status here in the USA. She came to the US about 15 years ago. We dated for a while and in Dec 2013 we got married. I stated all of the process for her. Everything has been very smooth... until last Saturday that we received her interview date for Dec 9 2015. But the way it reads it seems to be in Honduras where she is from. I believe that I should have done an I-601a but I am not sure. I don't want her to have to wait her country and for her and I to be away from each other. Is that my next step? The i601a?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Question on Next Step

Hoping to get an answer to this. I already filled the 601a last Monday and I am waiting for a reply from them.

Does anyone have any idea as for the process? Once again, my wife originally entered without inspection about 15 years ago. We met about 5 years ago and married about 2 years ago. I filed the I-130 went through the process, her application was approved, we were notified last week that her appointment was for this December, 2015 but the appointment is in her country of origin... at the US Embassy. She is here in the US. I filled the 601a and I am waiting to hear from them. For what the NVC tells me, they are saying that she will need to leave the US to attend to her interview. Can this be done here since she is in the US? If she leaves the US will she be able to come back?

We own a home here in the US, she has a business we own several cars and boats here... our life is here.

    Please any info is appreciated....
