  • Question Regarding Medical Exams For Consular Processing

    Hi,

My first post here so I apologize if this question has already been answered in previous posts.

My situation is such that my consular processing interview is scheduled in country A (where I was born) even though I have been living in country B (and I am a citizen of country B) for the past 8 years.

My question is that can Medical Exams from a health center approved by travel.state.gov in country B, be used for the CP interview in country A? Or will I have to travel there ahead of my interview to get my medical tests done.

This is a very common situation for families who have lived and worked in the Middle East (such as Dubai) which attracts hundreds of thousands of skilled workers from Europe and Asia.

Second question, what is the general administrative processing time provided that all the documents required are satisfied.

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions guys.

    Cheers

    Danny

You need to go to country A for medical examination and physician approved by USCIS.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

Will hepatitis C affect my mother's consular processing?

I am applying for my mother to immigrate to USA. I just filed out the DS- 261. I know she will need medical exams before interview in the Consulate. She has Hepatitis C, will that be a problem for her during consular processing?

      Thank you
