  • Issue in application DS-260!

    Dears ,

I started my DS-260 application as requested by the embassy but once i enter the case number and my birth of date i get this error :

by the way , i still didn't print my CGI slip so i still didn't pay and i don't have an invoice ID , why the message is telling Invoice ID although i didn't write any.

"The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance"

    Thanks

    Hi,

I am confused with ur question. If u did not pay yet, how can u start DS 260?. Coz DS 260 ONLY starts, after you submits your fee to NVC.

Anyway in order to log in, you sign in your CASE NUMBER and your INVOICE ID NOT date of birth.

Regardless you PAY or NOT,NVC still sends u the Invoice ID anyway.

Check the letter which u received in mail and see the on top it says,

    NVC CASE Number: ABC2015123456
    IV Invoice for: AZH DHJ
    Beneficiary I.D.: 12345678
    Invoice Date: August 20, 2015
    Amount Due: $325.00
    Invoice I.D. Number: 22446688

So your Case Number is on TOP and Invoice ID number is at BOTTOM. Enter these two and you will be able to see your case info.

    Good Luck....

      Great

but i didn't receive a letter i just got an e-mail from the embassy , they told me prepare some documents and send it to us like the following :

1- photo copy of the passport + 2 photos for me
      2- medical examination

      etc...

6- DS260 for me , and they write " add a note about the “ Invoice ID” to enter the applicant’s DOB in YYYYMMDD "

at the end of the e-mail , they wrote that i have to log in to my profile to print the deposit slip CGI

anyway , now i sent a reply to the same e-mail of the embassy asking for the invoice ID , but even if i have it now i don't know where i should enter it because questions when i try to log in to DS260 is just Case number and birth of date and if i'm the applicant himself or not .

      what do you think ?
