  • Marriage photos and evidence

    Dear Expert / Ray b,

Seeking your serious help. Counselor officer asked to submit more photographs of marriage and marked check on both options. One was photographs and other was to evidence / proof of marriage. What should I submit to them whereas I have submitted each and every document for reference. Infact I showed 8 pics to him two of marriage and 6 casual daily life but he was continiusly asking for marriage ceremony pics along with fellow groups or relatives. What we can offer to him as other evidences.

    Please help and guide

Was this during your interview or visa outside the U.S. or Adjustment of Status within U.S.?

Either way, provide additional photos, especially during wedding ceremony and reception. In addition, provide documents with both your names for any joint accounts, perhaps even notarized affidavits from family members, government officials attesting to their personal knowledge of the legitimacy of your marriage.

      Ray,

That was my visa immigrant interview in my city, outside the US and visa category is IR1.

Unfortunately we don't have combine account because my wife is in US. But we have collected following. My medical insurance card that shows my wife's name on it, my wife identity card that shows my name as husband, my wife's job letter, a letter of her boss stating that she took leave for marriage and mentioned my name in the letter, copy of approved leave form, entry and exit stamps on passports, her parents live here so they have provided affidavits, 100 photos included marriage, reception, daily life and different ocassions and a cd of marriage small clips.

Do I include email conversation, ******** chat and birthday / anniversary cards with postage stamps of US?

Please guide if I am on right track or need any other things to include.

        Zain,

You're on the right track. Send what you describe below, and anything else supporting your claim of a marital relationship.

          Ray,

          Thanks you for your support.
Please guide me one more thing.. Do I send my marriage certificate and divorce certificate of previous marriage?
These documents were already submitted to USCIS and NVC. I took all original with me for interview, he asked to show marriage certificate, birth certificate and divorce certificate and then returned to me. So my question is should I include these documents or just photographs and evidences as requested in 221 g letter.

            Zain,

I'd have to see the 221g letter to give you a qualified answer.

                      Zain,

There is only one specific item being requested, and a general evidence request.

You will need to include a cover letter explaining why additional evidence than what you send with this letter is not available. But include photos of the wedding and reception ceremony, if such photos exist. If hey don't exist, explain why. In addition, provide copies of ANYTHING you did not provide at the interview, such as updated correspondence between you, copies of money remittances, affidavits from relatives and friends.

Ray, thanks for great help. I have followed the same and submitted to embassy and hoping to see a positive outcome soon. Do you have any idea how much time it takes to complete ?

Completion and visa issuance after post-interview evidence submittal varies by Embassy At Manila, Philippines, it averages about 3 weeks.

                            Hello Ray,

My case is updated on ceac website on 4th Dec it is showing "Issued" and previously "Administrative processing" was coming. I am very thankful to you for your guidance.

I just have a one more question to you.. My case was filed in Texas.. So is it possible if I go to Chicago first and then after few days travel to Texas. I am asking this because an envelope will be provided to me that needs to handover at airport pr something like this..

You can enter and be processed as an immigrant at any U.S. Port of Entry. Your final destination info is only so that the legal requirement is met for Homeland Security to have an address which will be your home, at least until you report a new address to USCIS.
