I-864 Affidavit of support questions and only one year of tax filing

Hi everyone,

I am on the 3rd year of H-1b visa and I married to an US citizen who is a full-time student with only one year 2014 tax return. So I am the only income of the family and my income is over 125% FPL.

Can I sponsor myself? like my wife fill I-864 and I fill I-864A.

For I-864 which my wife is filling who is a student,

Part 1,
1.a. to 1.f. , she should check 1.a. right?
I am the petitioner. I filled or filling for the immigration of my relative.

Part 3,
1. check yes? I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2.
or check No (Applicable only if you are sponsoring family members in part 3 as
the second joint sponsor)


Part 6,
1.a. Employed as a full-time student?
or check unemployed?

2. my current individual annual income is $0?

16. check? the people listed in number 3, 6, 9 ,12 have completed form I-864a. I am filling along with the affidavit all necessary from I-864a completed by these people.

18.a. yes?
18.b. no check?

19.a. 2014 and the total income and blank for 19.b and 19.c ?

20. check?
I was not required to file a federal income tax return as my income was below the IRS required level and I have attached evidence to support this.

Part 7,
