Confusion which petition to file for please help.

My wife (German Citizen) and I (American Citizen) got married in Kentucky this year in July after dating for two years.

After the wedding we went back together to the UK were my wife works and resided for the last 25 years.

I am due to go back to Kentucky in January as I came over here on a Visitors Visa only but I would like my wife to join me in the States.

I had a riding accident three years ago in which I completely lost my eyesight and therefore nowadays on Disability and SSI benefits.

My wife has got a full time job in the UK and she would like to carry on working once she joined me in the States.

I also require the help of my wife to care for me as I still have not adjusted to a life of being blind.

I have several questions and hope that someone could give me some helpful answers where I have to start to be able to get my wife to join me in Kentucky.

Which would be the fastest way of visa route for my wife to join me.

Could it be fast tracked due to my disability?

Can this be done from the UK or if she would come to the States, from here?

Can she work straight away or has she got to wait?

What assets are required?

Going back to the UK and live there is not an option for me as I am an old country boy and life in the UK is far too busy for me

Hi there,

1. No it can't be fast-tracked because you are on disability
2. all of the visa processing gets approved in the USA. You can fill out papers in UK but send it to office that is assigned to your address/state in the US
3. The USCIS will approve the petition and will send it to NVC, NVC then will schedule her interview where she lives. Once she arrives in the US, she will have to wait about a month to receive her social security and green card then she can start working here.
4. I am not sure about the assets, hopefully someone else will help you figure that one out...
