Surname while applying a GC for spouse

I got my green card in 2003 and now i want to apply family based GC for my wife. Recently i got a marriage certificate with my last name for my wife and i'm also planning to change her last name in her passport and add my name in the passport. She has her maiden name in her X-class certificate(which i'm going to use as proof of her DOB), so does this effect in any way?
Can someone provide the procedure to apply for GC while staying in India. Currently i'm staying in India.
can some one point me to the location that tells about the check-list while applying for GC for spouse(I-130 form)?
