  • Using B2 visa post I-130 petition approval to enter USA

Hi all, I would really appreciate any input from people who have been in the same boat as me. or any one who can advise.

After getting my citizenship I filed for my parents' green card while they were visiting. Also files I-485 for adjustment of status. But they had to leave without advance parole. Now, of course their i-485 application has been abandoned and I have received I-130 approval for one parent and still waiting for another one (which is still being processed, as per USCIS). My questions is, can they still use their valid B2 visa to enter USA or they should wait for NVC to process their green card?
If they use B2 visa, what is the worst that can happen? will they be sent back? or deported and can not enter US ever?
If they decide to wait for NVC, what is the approximate time-line?

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Thank you,
I don't see anything wrong with your parents visiting you on B2 visa and going back within an allotted timeframe. They can still travel on visitor visa while I-130 is being processed. One thing I would advise is to make sure, they don't overstay on their visa because that can cause some issues in processing I-130.
