Santa Ana, CA Office I-485 Processing time- Waiting for the interview
Hello all,
Can anyone help to estimate how long it will take for scheduling the interview and get the green card?
My case will be processed in the Sata Ana， CA office
My timeline is below:
8/3/2015- I-485 and travel document sent
9/21/2015- RFE -Said petitioner doesn’t have enough income
11/11/2015- Combo EAD card received
12/1/2015- reply to the RFE- We found a joint sponsor
12/15/2015- Interview will be scheduled
1. Should I expect to get the interview notice around in March 2016---12/15/2015 +3 month? Or September 12/15/2015+ 9 month?
2. How long it will take to get the green card after the interview？
3. Can I go back to my home country while waiting for the interview notice?
Since our interview will be conduct in the Santa Ana, CA office, I checked the processing time online.
As show below, as of Oct 31 2015, the processing time frame is March 31 2015.
The website now says that: As of December 15, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number YYYY YYYY , for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice.
