  • NVC Welcome Email

    Hi Everyone,

Bit of background before my question. I am a US born citizen living abroad in Indonesia. My wife is Indonesian and of course my two step-kids are also Indonesian. My wife and I also have a child together. Our son has duel citizenship. We have begun the process of obtaining a family based greencard for my wife and step-children. Our I-130s were approved November 13 and sent on to the NVC. Last Friday (December 18) I received an email with an invoice from the NVC for the visa fee and AOS fee. The problem is I only received an invoice for my wife and my step-daughter, but nothing for my step-son. Two separate emails were sent for my wife and step-daughter respectively, but the emails were sent at the same time. As of today, December 22, I have not received an email for my step-son. My questions are:

    a) Why would only two of the three emails be sent?

    b) Should I give the NVC a bit more time before making inquiries?

    c) If I should wait, how long should I give the NVC before making contact?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Cheers

NVC has been missing family members invoices from time to time. Just call NVC and tell them that you didn't receive your step-son's invoice or you can email them and they will fix it. It's not a big deal.
