Mother Green Card Processing Prep

I am US citizen and planning to sponsor my mother green card soon.

1) I have a question on marriage certificate. My parents had a simple marriage ceremony at small Indian temple in 1969 and never got registered. What are alternatives to marriage certificate ? Does local village officer certificate is enough which are not computerized ?
2) I have issues/differences with my father and not doing his GC. My parents also living separately now. Does it impact my mother GC process or any red flags ?

Your father's status is not an issue with your mom's petition and visa processing.
