Information needed on I-765

Hi ,

I am holding H1 and married to a US citizen . I want to apply for Change of Status and my wife will file I-130 for me .
I have the following questions on the process .

As I am holding H1B I can work in US ? Do I need to file for EAD separately ? If I want to change my employer , can my H1 be transferred to the new employer ? Can I file I-765 at a later point of time ?

You can maintain your H1 and keep on working on that H1. Don't need I-765.
If you want to change employer, new employer needs to file your H1.

On the hand, you can also apply for I-765, you can switch jobs without having to file new H1 every time.
