Hi all,
I just hope to make sure that I have everything right. I recently tried to submit an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative + I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status using a fee waiver (which I later found out that USCIS doesn't seem to allow this application to be waived?) and later found out about this website. I think I have all the documentation and would just like a bit of guidance on what I'm missing and what I should do afterwards.
Background:
My wife was born in Mexico, I in the US, our son was born in the US but is now a US Citizen. I've come up with some money to start the I-130 but I don't have enough to file both together so I'm going to try them individually as I gather up for them. My wife (19) and I will have been married 2 years in July of 2016 (I know about the I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence but am not sure if waiting the 5 or so months out weights the benefits/opportunities my wife and child (1) will receive in the US -- such as living free with family as opposed to paying rent in Mexico, health care benefits since with them I believe I qualify for MediCal, job opportunities for my wife, etc) So Far, we've decided it's better to start now while we can. I haven't been able to file taxes for the past 3 years 2013-2015 since I've been living outside the US temporarily to support my family in Tijuana, married the next year, had a child the next, etc and hope to get that all worked out; I'm currently pursuing an SSN for my child (I still need one document but should be here next week or so) and will aim for an ITIN for my wife right after. I believe an I-864 Affidavit of Support may be required and I do not have all of my tax information.
Below is what I've been able to collect structured as shown below with an amount of about $700 USD to spend on this at the moment:
[cover letter]
[applications I think I might need]
[documents/evidence I might need/have]
Here's what I've got:
Cover Letter explaining what's inside and what I wish to do
G-1145 e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance
I-130 Petition for Alien Relative:
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
I-864EZ Affidavit of Support
G-325A Biographic Information (me)
G-325A Biographic Information (my wife)
Copy of US Birth Certificate (me)
Copy of Passport Card (me)
Copy of Mexican Passport (my wife) with translation and certification
Copy of Mexican Birth Certificate (my wife) with translation and certification
Copy of our Marriage Certificate with translation and certification
Copy of Mexican Birth Certificate (my son) with translation and certification
Copy of US Consular Report of Birth Abroad (my son)
Copy of Pay Stubs (I can provide anything 6 months back)
Copy of IRS Account Transcripts (2012, 2013, 2014)
Again, all I'm looking for is a little bit of guidance (or assurance) on what I'm missing and what I should do after applying. I appreciate the help in advance.
