I 130 file upgrade question

I just have quick question when I filled for my brother in the year 2000 at that time He was single now He is married and expecting baby in the summer If I want to upgrade his file Which form number should I need? or Should I wait untill his file get approval first? Which is logic step ? I just recently received letter from USCIS that they need additional document for my brother case

There is nothing to upgrade in this case.

Whenever his petition gets approved, just ask him to add his dependents in the form DS-230 at the time of consular processing.
