  • Upgrade from F2A to immediate relative (CR1) after I-130 approved from USCIS

    Hello All,

I really need help!!!! I filed an I-130 when i was a green card holder in July 2015 and got approved after 2 months. I received a notice from USCIS that my case has been transfered to NVC. I called NVC after 1 month and got my NVC case number, but NVC did not send me any e-mail or letter that says they starting to work on my case. Later, I became a US citizen in September 2015, and i send my certificate of citizenship , copy of Notice of action from USCIS and also a copy of approved I-130 to the NVS (both e-mail and letter).

It's been over 4 months and i haven't heard anything from NVC. I keep calling and asking them if my F2A status has been updated to immediate relative, but they keep saying there is no time frame for that. I'm so frustrated.

Anybody know how long this will take NVC to update and what else can i do beside waiting....I have become a US citizen and this shouldn't take a long time like legal permanent residency status.....

Thank you for your time answering my questions....I would appreciate any helps/suggestions...
