  • Has anyone been in this situation?

I am a US citizen and I recently started the petition for my wife, who lives out of the US. I will be graduating next May and I was wondering if I could invite her to attend my graduation ceremony, here in the US.
will that be possible, and how will this affect her petition?
    All advice welcomed

Your wife might be considered a higher risk to stay (and overstay) in the United States, because you sponsoring her shows clearly the fact that she wants to move to the U.S.

So the question become about ties: can she back up the fact that she is coming to the US for a few days / weeks and that she does indeed intend to return to her country and go through proper consular processing.

I would say that it is very possible. She just needs to make sure that she has proper documentation:
    - Return ticket.
    - Information about the graduation ceremony and her stay in the US
    - Proof of ties to her existing country: a job / studies that are ongoing, a lease on a place to stay, ...
