Hello! I am a US Citizen, and I recently got married. My wife is currently on an H1B visa in the US, and I want to sponsor her for a green card. She wants to quit her current job and find a new job in my city so that we can move in together. My question is, at what point should she resign from her position in order to avoid losing her legal status in the US? Would it be wise to wait until she receives the authorization for employment from the government? How long does the whole process usually take? Thanks in advance for your help.
