    Hello ,

    I'm a US citizen and my mom is with me on visit visa from Pak and I wanted to apply GC for my mom she is in USA till april anyone can pls help me and let me know all process and what forms should I apply with I-130 form should I apply I-485 or wait till I got approval for I-130 .. and how long this process go I live in Chicago IL ..

    Technically, your mother is an immediate relative, as you are a U.S. citizen over the age of 21 years old (I assume). So, she should be eligible for an "adjustment of status with concurrent filing" as I imagine that she was properly inspected and admitted to the United States.

    Concurrent filing does mean that you can file I-130 and I-485 together.

    I am unclear though as to how U.S. immigration agencies react to somebody coming with a tourist visa (or something like that) and filing almost immediately for permanent residence...
