Family based green card while I539 (Visa Extension Request) is pending
Hello,
My mother's I-94 expired on Dec 28, 2015 but we applied for Visa extension in early November, 2015 and got the receipt from USCIS. Her visa extension request is still pending and when I checked with USCIS this week, I was told they are currently processing requests received in Aug, 2015
Now I am thinking of applying for a Green Card for my mother while she is in the US. Is there any issue with applying for her Green Card while I 539 is pending?
