F2A I-485 2016 Priority Dates Timeline
Hey there,
It may become current for Filing Dates. But for final action dates, not sure.
Though I need some clarification on priority dates. There are two dates on visa bulletin:
1. Final Action Dates
2. Filing Dates
I already filed for EAD,AP & I-485 in October 2015 (based on Filing Dates). And I also got my EAD/AP in February 2016.
Does Final Action Dates mean I will get an interview only after this dates become current? Or can we get an interview anytime because we filed for I-485.?
My lawyer office says, Final Action Dates doesn't apply to F2A people who are already here on valid status and they are just adjusting their status.
I am really sure if it is right or wrong but just wanted to share with you guys.
Any thoughts?

Pd confusion!
I'm an Indian citizen and my husband is a LPR living in the US. He filed my petition under F2A category in April 2015 and my PD is 17 April 2015. My case was approved on 22 Dec 2015. I received my Welcome letter on 20 January 2016. Paid my AOS and IV fees on 5 Feb 2016. Confirmed DS-260 on 17 Feb 2016. Will send the Docs to the NVC in the next 15 days. What should I expect next? And what role does the PD play in all this? Please advice. Thank you.

Sorry I didn't any notification on this thread.
Once again, my PD is Feb 2015 which become current in Nov-Dec 2016. So, now my file is officially current.
Not sure what happens with I-485 application. Will I receive an Interview letter from Local field office or something?
Thanks all for the participation.

Once the filing date becomes current, you can file EAD, AP, 485. Even though final action date is not current, you will get EAD and AP (this is the benefit of new filing date).
485 will stay stuck in pending until "Final Action" date become current. As soon as final action date get current, you will get scheduled for interview.
This is based on experience with filing for my wife (I am LPR),
- Jan 2015: PD
- Oct 2015: Bulletin changes, with new filing date
- Dec 2015: Filed I-485, EAD, AP (since PD was current for "Filing")
- Feb 2016: EAD with AP received
- Dec 2016: PD became current, and on December 19, got scheduled for interview on 01/18
- Jan 2017: Interview scheduled for 01/18

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
