Ok first off: no- shes not a mail order bride
We met in a grocery store, spent time ... blah blah blah. She was here (LA) on a tourist visa. She mentioned she was sleeping on her friends (another girl from Russia's)floor and I said come sleep on my couch (really a girl like that shouldn't be sleeping on a hard wood floor). I'm not real romantic but yeah eventually She kinda asked me to marry her. I thought it was kinda a green card marriage but i said yes. We got married in Feb she went back to Russia to get some things. I was applying for an apartment and they wanted her to fill out the application but English is her second language so it was too much for us to complete with her not here so I had her send a copy of her VISA for the property manager.
Her VISA expires in 2023, so its not a green card marriage but I still need to get her one.
My questions are this:
how long can she stay here without encoring illegal presence?
I am a legal resident (born here) cant find my birth certificate
cant find my tax returns
Can I file the necessary paperwork to apply?
